How to Double Your Income in the Next 6 Months

I remember walking into a store several years ago and falling in love with a vintage sign that was hanging on the wall. It read: “It’s never too late to start the day over.”

Do you embody that mindset?

Or, are you the person that eats donuts for breakfast and then decides that the entire day – or week – is a loss? And then, instead of course correcting to realign with your goal of losing weight, you decide to splurge even further by eating ice cream instead of attending the exercise class you signed up for?

When you react in this way, as a victim, you give power away. And unfortunately, that doesn’t serve you, your goals, or your clients. (No bueno.)

What I’m inviting you to do today, instead, is to take responsibility for you results and make a different – and more powerful – choice.  Just like the vintage sign says, you have the power to choose a new (and better) direction in every moment of your day.

Regardless of what did (or didn't) transpire in the first half of this year, are you willing to choose to create a bigger impact, to serve more clients, and make more money in the second half of the year?

Getting started.

Take several deep breaths and release what has – or hasn't – happened in your business up to this point. Breathe in calm and breathe out blame, judgement, and worry.  In this moment, I'm handing you a clean slate to create from and there are no limits.

Imagine it’s one year from today and you’re at a beautiful party with your favorite peeps. Close your eyes and visualize exactly how you’ll be celebrating your accomplishments and the impact your business had in a short 12 months.

What, specifically, will you celebrate? How will you feel in that moment? What, specifically, will you be grateful for and what risks will you be celebrate having taken?

Your business growth doesn’t have to be incremental … unless you say it does.


Now, grab a piece of paper and a pen. Make a list of at least 10 things you’ll celebrate.

Now, take your list and stand in front of a mirror. Imagine that you’ve been magically transported into the future and you’re at the party. Say the date and share (out loud) the 10+ things that grateful for having accomplished, created, and manifested in your business and life. (At least one should relate to an income goal.)

Yes, really. Do this. This is straight out of the #thisshitworks vault, I promise.

Now, as you do this, notice how you feel in that moment of celebration. Those feelings and the connection you now have with where you’re going is your ticket to creating more income, impact, and be of more service in the second half of the year.

As you figure out your plan for the second half of the year, trust that it doesn’t have to be perfect. As long as the 3 or 4 goals you choose to move towards in the next 90 days align with the 10 things you will be celebrating in 12 months, then you’re on your right path.

Consistent, imperfect action yields much better results than perfect action every once in awhile.

Your Next Steps: Invest 30 minutes to complete this exercise and choose 3 or 4 specific goals that you’re willing to commit to for the next 90 days. Write them down, with the associated tactics listed underneath.  Put these tactics on your calendar and take action towards these goals every day…and watch as the magic unfolds.
