I recently heard a statistic that only 10% of coaches break through the six figure income mark
As I reflect on that sobering statistic, I’m recommitting and realigning my business with the goal of helping more coaches create business they love, work with amazing clients, create a powerful impact and live an amazing life along the way.
And, guess what? That means supporting them as they make more money.
Is that too much to shoot for?
Some say it is. But, if you’re reading this, then I bet you’re open to learning from the six figure+ earners and shifting the landscape.
The cool thing, too, is that there are way more people and opportunities out there than there are coaches to support them. Seriously, there are.
What does that mean for you? It means that there isn’t any real *competition* out there, in the marketplace, outside of the stories that you create in your own mind.
It means that there are so many opportunities to connect with real people in real life and make a real difference.
Real Success
What prevents more coaches from succeeding?
Well, one of the problems is the lie that’s being sold in the marketplace. It’s not only being sold, but most coaches jump in, hook-line-and-sinker.
You know, it’s the idea that there’s one magic strategy that will work to bring in new leads to your business. It’s the idea that all you need to do is to create one FB group, build an online funnel, or implement this one other strategy and then you’ll be set.
Now, you and I both know that there’s rarely (if ever) a one-size-fits-all solution to anything in life that really works. And, it’s no different when it comes to building your coaching business.
Marketing Isn’t A Four Letter Word
So, what am I asking you to do differently so that you can create a sustainable and thriving business?
I’m asking you to do real marketing. The real work.
I’m inviting you to show up. You know, in public. And have face to face conversations.
Go networking.
Offer to speak to local groups (or virtual groups!) that are already gathering your ideal clients.
Host workshops.
Meet with referral partners on a regular basis and visit them in person.
I’m inviting you to get out from behind your computer, to leave your comfortable home office and allow yourself to be seen. To be imperfect. And to take full responsibility for your success.
Spoiler Alert: Unless your ideal client lives in your house, in large numbers, it’s not an ideal place for you to spend the majority of your time as you build your coaching business.
We’ll be offering a new resource in the next week so keep your eyes out! It will help you diagnose what’s working – and what’s not working – when it comes to your marketing.
Unless your ideal client lives in your house, it’s not an ideal place for you to spend the majority of your time as you build your coaching business.

And, I have a hint for you: If your client roster isn’t full and your income goals aren’t being met, then you have an opportunity to upgrade your marketing efforts. (That’s the job description for Marketing: to bring inspired, ideal clients into your space for a conversation.)
Marketing isn’t a four letter word (I promise, I counted!) but it will keep you on the Struggle Bus if you’re investing your time and energy in the wrong marketing strategies (ones that aren’t aligned with you, your ideal clients, or your current level of business.)
And, I’m curious…what’s possible if you were to ditch the online strategies (or put them on the back burner) and consistently step into the spotlight with intentional offline marketing? Hmmm…
